A mysterious young woman first seen near the shoreline on the night Johan arrives at Black Tide Island. Silent and emotionally distant, Violet appears strangely drawn to the ocean, often staring toward the sea as if listening to something no one else can hear. Shortly after Johan notices her, Violet suddenly walks into the water and disappears beneath the waves. Believing she is trying to take her own life, Johan dives in to save her—an event that leads him deeper into the island’s hidden horrors.
